Course Description

The Eighth grade Math Summer Bridge program consists of 12 sessions (50 minutes each). The class covers positive and negative exponents; scientific notation; square and cube roots; irrational numbers including decimal approximations and relative order; solving equations in one variable; linear equations including slope-intercept form and graphing; systems of two linear equations; functions; rotation, reflection, and translation; congruent shapes; angle relationships; and the Pythagorean theorem. This course is best suited for rising 8th graders.

All section are delivered live, online. Each section consists of 12 sessions, 50 minutes each. Courses are divided into either a 6-week or 3-week schedule. In addition to the scheduled class sessions, students will have access to recorded versions of each class session which can be used to preview topics, replace sessions if the student is unable to attend, or review content from a different perspective.
