Course Description

Do you get nervous when asked to speak or give a presentation in front of your class or an audience? Join us in a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you will learn to develop your public speaking skills. Build your confidence and alleviate anxiety when speaking before people. Students will participate in viewing and evaluating speeches as well as in writing various styles of speeches. Then, explore arguing in a civilized way. Discover how to better verbally express your thoughts, leverage facts, and persuade others. Students will learn how to research and create a well-thought-out argument. Debate topics will be picked on a wide scale, and the debate process will be taught and executed within the camp. This camp will help to develop confidence, critical thinking, and realizing different perspectives.

Rising 10th to 12th graders

This 2-week camp is scheduled to be held in-person at the Temple University Ambler campus for high school school (rising 10th to 12th graders).

M-F, July 5 to 15, 2022 from 9 AM to 4 PM
