Course Description

The emphasis of the course is to analyze featured books, articles, films, documentaries and varies sources to better understand Critical Race Theory and the African-American experience. The course will provide a comprehensive lens of the theory, its implications, and implementations in methods related to media propaganda and biases.  Dialogue and analysis of course materials via Zoom will be facilitated through Effective Dialogue and online discussion boards.

 The emphasis of this course is to examine how laws, social, politics and media shape the concepts associated with race and ethnicity. Gain understanding of the origins and perpetuation of racism and its integration in American Culture through media.  The course includes "Self Paced" reading via canvas to prepare for Effective Dialogue in the Zoom sessions.  Once registered you will receive the zoom address for all sessions and you will be able to access the canvas course at canvas.temple.edu
