Michael Heinsdorf
Tuesdays, 1:30 PM-3:00 PM
Sept. 21-Oct.19 | Session 1

The acceptance and unchallenged status of historical religious identities, values and precepts have changed almost beyond recognition in contemporary society. These changes are not spelled out and open for debate in theological circles, but have become the focus, theologically, philosophically, and psychologically, of the academic and alternative religious experiences. This course will trace the theological erosion from William of Ockham, Luther, Erasmus, Spinoza, the Enlightenment philosophers in England, France and Germany and end with Nietzsche’s “God is dead.
