Course Description

Working with children, adolescents, and their families in the medical social work field is both rewarding and complex. It is important for social workers to understand the difference between working with minors and working with adults. Caregivers and the community are integral as part of the individual’s success. Assessing and understanding the needs of the child, family, and community will support the child or adolescent’s developmental growth.
