HBGCE0143 - PerformCare: Evidence Based Behavioral Health Care for Gender Diverse Children and Adolescents - Consideration in Active Care Management Series 2021-2022
Course Description
As part of the 2020 Advancing Excellence in Transgender Health Dr. Henin covers behavioral health care approaches for transgender and gender-diverse youth and adolescents. The training introduces CBT interventions as broadly effective for a number of diagnoses experienced by transgender youth. Dr. Henin then reviews how CBT can be adapted for this population. 1. Review CBT’s broad effectiveness for common diagnoses for youth
2. Illustrate adaptations of CBT for transgender and gender diverse Youth
3. Discuss the role of parents in youth treatment and outcomes
Certificates of attendance documenting continuing education hours or units will be issued by Temple University Harrisburg.
This program has been approved for 1 Social Work Continuing Education hour. Temple University Harrisburg is a PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors preapproved provider of continuing education. These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW/LMFT/LPC biennial license renewal.
If you are interested in receiving a certificate of continuing education, the following steps must be completed:
- Register for this course through this site.
- Complete the CE Request Form.
- Attend the entire training.
- If attending by watching the training recording, a post-test will be required with a minimum of 80% correct.
- Complete an online program evaluation.
In order to receive CEs for approved workshops, TUH must receive the CE request form, and signed evaluation from each participant for each applicable workshop. The participant's name must appear on the sign-in sheet for each applicable workshop.
