Evidence Based Safety and Crisis Plans for SI Training

This program has been approved for 1 Social Work Continuing Education hour. Temple University Harrisburg is a PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors preapproved provider of continuing education. These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW/LMFT/LPC biennial license renewal.

Course Outline
This training will teach participants how to identify at-risk populations for suicide completion; how to conduct best practice risk assessment and crisis response planning according current standards of practice; and provide experiential practice of learned skills.Learner Outcomes
By the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the epidemiology and risk factors for suicide completion
- Learn the resources for practice guidelines and have knowledge of the standards
- Learn the necessary components of a risk assessment and crisis response plan
- Practice skills with case examples
