This is the eighth workshop in the ten week Entrepreneurial Success Workshop Series. Upon completion of Management and Financial Considerations students will: get a broad overview of the organization, learn how to develop a management team, learn the basic concepts of social responsibility and sustainability, understand the components of pricing, identify fixed and variable expenses, understand how cash flows in and out of a business, understand the importance of bookkeeping, and recognize the importance of having an accountant. 

Learner Outcomes

Segment Objectives:

Upon completion of “Financial Statements,” students will:

  • Understand the difference and correlation between the cash flow statement, income statement and balance sheet
  • Understand the components of pricing
  • Identify fixed & variable expenses
  • Understand how cash flow in and out of a business
  • Understand Financial projections & assumptions
  • Understand the importance of bookkeeping/recordkeeping
  • Know how to develop  a management team
  • Develop a personnel plan
