This is the second workshop in the 10 week Entreprenuerial Success Workshop Series. Upon completion of Business Plan Basics students will: understand the purpose(s) of a business plan, know the framework for developing a business plan, recognize the style of writing in a business plan (business writing), be able to write a mission and vision statement, be able to write a company description, have an idea of the type of legal structure that is best of them, and understand the importance of legal protection (liability, IP). 

Course Outline

Segment Objectives:

• Understand the purpose(s) of a business plan
• Know the framework for developing a business plan
• Recognize the style of writing in a business plan (business writing)
• Be able to write a mission and vision statement
• Be able to write a company description
• Have an idea of the type of legal structure that is best of them (or understand that they need to get an attorney)
• Understand the importance of legal protection (liability, IP)
