This workshop explores improvisation for PK-12 music teaching from the widest perspective possible. Research and practice come together as we tackle spontaneous creation across a variety of music settings and beyond. The many hands-on activities complement the scholarly depth of the course, all with a focus toward leading your students to be competent and confident improvisers.

Course Dates:  May 10 - June 7, 2021
Online synchronous engagement 6 hours; asynchronous learning activities approx. 31 hours.
Synchronous Sessions:  May 13, 20, 27 & June 3  Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm EDT

Non-credit: Workshop $925 + $50 Registration Fee
