Course Description

This intensive program is geared towards students interested in commercial music making and applying those skills for personal enjoyment and to professions in music (e.g., film, music technology, music education, or music therapy). From creation to performance and production, you will work with coaches to create and collaborate original works that will be performed, recorded, and shared at the end of the intensive. Topics will include introductory songwriting, commercial music performance, collaborating within the context of a band, recording on a digital audio station, and basic mixing/mastering. You should have experience singing or performing on an instrument. All levels are welcome.

This course is available as a Summer Institute/Intensive during Session 2.

Students attending our Summer Institutes and Intensives program choose one class to attend for the two-week session. When applying, you will first be directed to the Summer Institutes and Intensives application. Students with approved applications will be invited to pay the 10% deposit. You will be invoiced for the remaining program fee.
