A DISCUSSION OF SHAKESPEARE’S ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA

Wednesdays, 1:00 PM-2:30 PM
Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra, one of the Bard’s Roman plays, is both a history play and a tragedy. It is also a counterpart to Romeo and Juliet, the story of young love. The lovers in the Roman play represent mature love as well as great passion. Through discussion, we will explore this comparison as well as comparisons to the well-known movie.
