Course Description

"Ugh, more teamwork!" is often the sentiment expressed when groups are charged with working together. In this class learn how to build M.O.R.E. (Motivated, Open-minded, Reliable, Effective) teams. Take the "Ugh" out of team building by applying creativity, out of the box thinking, and enthusiasm to your leadership style so that your team can begin to function with an energe that connects them to each other and drives them to reach the goal. In this course, you will be armed with alternative tools, strategies, and practices that will enable you to lead an effective team that is motivated to produce results.

Instructor Biography

Amber Key has a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy from Temple University as well as a master’s degree in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University. Mrs. Key also has a life coaching certificate from Life Purpose Institute and is the founder of Out of Bounds Life Coaching Group Facilitation.

Mrs. Key’s “gifts” are leadership, creativity, and influence and she uses them in her everyday work as a lead instructor at the PA CareerLink. At CareerLink, Mrs. Key is primarily responsible for developing, scheduling, facilitating, and managing workshops that are meant to not only prepare job seekers for future employment, but also to stimulate personal growth, new ways of thinking, and positive change.

Mrs. Key’s goal is to continue to use her experience, education, passion, and purpose to positively influence and improve the lives of others.

Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy

A participant who withdraws from a non-credit course, in writing, up to one-week prior to the starting date of the course, will receive a refund, minus a $25 withdrawal fee; for all certificate programs the withdrawal fee is $50. For courses costing $75 or less, the withdrawal fee is $10 per course. No refunds will be given after that time. E-mail your withdrawal request to: course.withdrawals@temple.edu. Please note that if you do not officially withdrawal from a course and you do not attend the course, you are still responsible for payment. Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason. If the course is cancelled, you will be notified and your entire tuition will be refunded.
