Course Description

Introduction to Project Management will provide you with the foundational knowledge and approaches to project management. This course focuses on providing you with hands-on experience using tools, templates, processes, and skills to plan, implement, and manage a wide range of projects and project activities. The course begins with a basic understanding of what is a project and a review of the project management process groups and knowledge areas. Students will be introduced to traditional project management and agile approaches. Students will complete project templates for a scope statement, stakeholder register and mapping, and a risk register. The goal of this course is to help students identify and apply the tools, techniques, and approaches of project management to starting a business.

This course is self-paced, meaning there aren't any group classes or lectures. Work through the material at your own pace. You'll get feedback on some of the mini-assignments you submit. Plus, you can join the drop-in office hours to meet with an instructor to go over any points or questions that you have.
