Course Description
Mindfulness is an evidenced based intervention for individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain. There is also evidence supporting mindfulness’ effectiveness in reducing stress and preventing burnout. This course is an intermediate workshop focused on practicing and teaching mindfulness-based interventions for both personal and professional use. It is a workshop style course with a focus on experiential learning as well as an opportunity to lead others through mindfulness-based practices.

Learner Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
· Evaluate the research supporting mindfulness’ effectiveness.
· Compare and contrast the value of range of mindfulness techniques.
When participants return to the workplace, they will be able to:
· Develop mindfulness practices to achieve better self-regulation (for self and individuals).
· Use trauma-sensitive language to safely implement these interventions into their practice.
