EDUID0002 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication for the Speech Language Pathologist
Course Description
This is a 8-hour learning opportunity led by TechOWL PA and the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University in collaboration with Elwin which aims to inform Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) working for Elwin about Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The learning opportunity will be broken into 5 sessions ranging from 1 to 2-hour sessions spread over several months. The topics of this training series will cover AAC at a glance, reporting, evaluating AAC, and devices through a therapeutic lens. Participants will be able to practice using the AAC devices and how they could enhance general communication across many social and educational contexts.
