Course Description

In this course we will examine ethical decision-making models and apply them to administrative dilemmas involving personnel issues, fraud & abuse, and business management. This workshop is intended for intermediate and advanced level participants who are in an indirect practice role, such as administration, supervisory, and/or policy development.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

· Recognize the impact of competing influences in ethical decision making.

· Analyze a complex administrative social work dilemma and identify key issues confronting the administrator.

When participants return to the workplace, they will be able to:

· Apply an ethical decision-making process to a complex administrative dilemma.

· Develop possible options for resolving an administrative dilemma.

· Select an ethically appropriate action to the dilemma based on evaluation of multiple options.
