Course Description

AGING AS A TREATABLE DISEASE

Instructor: Jay Pomerantz
4-Week Course from March 9 - March 30

Tuesdays, 1:00 PM-2:30 PM
Every living thing ages and eventually dies. What causes aging? Can aging be prevented or slowed down? Is it conceivable to reverse aging in animals (or even human beings)? Is biological age necessarily the same as chronological age, and how can we influence it? What can we do currently, and what is on the horizon? It turns out we may be closer to extending life/health than most people realize. The key is that most chronic disease seems amenable to prevention.

Class limit: 500
