Course Description

Students in the RED program will discover new frontiers in scientific research through hands-on experimentation, discussion, writing and presentation in fields such as molecular biology, earth sciences, mechanical engineering in medicine, and math logic for computing sciences.   After choosing their area of interest, students will be assigned to work groups to complete an experiment and written and spoken presentation of their findings, led by Temple University graduate students who are experts in their fields.

Temple University is uniquely positioned to host RED students in this science exploration program.  Every summer, the university hosts high school students in laboratories and classrooms to explore academic topics in a university environment. RED students will also have access to university resources such as dedicated English support if they need it, a state-of-the-art TECH center, university libraries and research facilities.
