Winter Tree Identification for Landscape Professionals

Correct identification of trees in the landscape is an essential part of integrated pest management and sustainable land care. First we will cover the essentials of integrated pest management using some real-world case studies. Then we will examine live plant samples to learn tips and tricks to tell the differences between similar plant species in the field. Evergreen conifers as well as deciduous trees will be covered. The classroom investigation will be followed by a walk in the Arboretum to test our new knowledge.
