Course Description

The Engineering Urban Sustainability Professional Development Workshop is an ACT 48 accredited training for teachers interested in receiving their very own aquaponics kit for their classrooms.

As part of Temple’s commitment to K-12 STEM education, teachers will receive a full aquaponics kit, Arduino sensor array and an “open source” K-12 aquaponics curriculum. The training will also explore soil-less growing, technology in urban agriculture, and a run through of setting up a basic kit with sensors that measure pH and temperature.

This training is great for any teachers interested in hands-on, STEM projects with students. Aquaponics is a great tool to teach a variety of subjects from biology to computer science.

This will be the last aquaponics training of the school year. Reserve your spot now!
