Course Description

As a university professional, you will encounter diverse people with diverse perspectives, values,
and opinions about how things should be done. Although you can’t control others, you CAN
control your capacity to work collaboratively with people who are “difficult” to manage or get
along with.

During this session, staff and faculty will explore their emotional triggers, and do a deep-dive to
uncover why some people are harder to work with than others. In addition, they will create an
interpersonal action plan with measurable goals to improve their leadership and management
practice.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will:

Explore their interpersonal weak-points and areas for improvement when working with “difficult” people.
