Course Description

Discover the basics of computer programming and various programming languages. New technologies allow people outside of the computer science field to be able to create their own web pages using code. Students will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Java Script in this course, as well as the practical use for each.

Introduction to Programming

Basic HTML/CSS

Unit 3

Drawing and Coloring using Code

Unit 4

Basic Animation using Code

  • Uses of Animation

  • Making a Simple Animation

Learner Outcomes

Course outcomes

  • After successfully completing the course you will be able to:
    write simple HTML code.
    make a simple webpage.

Notes

Instructor: Jeff Kritzer, has many years of experience:
- as a quantitative researcher,
- as a Special Education Resource Teacher and has assessed thousands of students during his long career,
- in online instructional technology.

He has studied applied statistics at the graduate level and has attended the Summer Program in Quantitative Research at the University of Michigan. He has been published in several international and national journals and has developed unique methods for presenting his research. He has a Ph.D. in Education and is currently a Professor in Teacher Education at a leading Midwestern University.
