Have you ever thought “vulnerability” was a dirty word? That it was a sign of weakness or a letting down of a guard that you’ve worked so hard to put up? We’re here to change that! Founded in the research of Dr. Brené Brown, this session will explore the power of vulnerability as a tool that can change our lives and the way we work. Vulnerability allows people to own their stories and share them effectively with others to promote positive change. It is a lens through which professional dialogue can be enhanced, student development can be grounded, and work conflict can be mediated. At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Effectively articulate their core values and leadership style.
- Identify ways that authentic leadership can enhance their workplace.
- Manage conflict and culture shifts in the workplace using a lens of vulnerability.
- Practice vulnerability and storytelling in their personal and professional lives to promote relationship development.
