Course Description

Program Evaluation Part 1:

At the completion of this course, students will be able to

1) describe the historical context of accountability and program evaluation;

2) describe non-oppressive evaluation designs that take into account issues relevant to cultural, racial, sexual, and economic minorities;

3) identify the contextual constraints and dynamic nature of evaluating programs;

4) articulate the role and use of program evaluation in relation to planning, administration and social policy;

5) identify the options available in conducting program evaluation;

6) write measurable objectives from program goals;

7) design a questionnaire addressing a programmatic need;

8) develop a plan for doing an evaluation at their own agency.
