Course Description

From Hurt to Healing: ACEs, Trauma Awareness, and Therapeutic Interventions is an immersive experience that delves into the profound impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma on individuals, during this course we will be unraveling the intricate web that connects early life adversity to mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of trauma’s effects on brain development, learning, and overall health. This course explores cutting-edge therapeutic interventions, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Havening Techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Through a holistic lens, participants will learn to navigate the complexities of trauma recovery, empowering them with practical tools to foster resilience and guide individuals from hurt to profound healing.

Part 1: Introduction to Trauma and its Prevalence (15 minutes)

Part 2: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their Long-Term Effects (30 minutes)
- Understanding ACEs and their implications
- Long-term effects on mental and physical health
Part 3: Trauma and Brain Development (15 minutes)

Part 4: Impact of Trauma on Childhood Learning and Cognitive Functioning (30 minutes)
- Educational challenges for individuals with trauma histories
- Strategies for supporting learning in trauma-affected individuals
Part 5: Linkage between Trauma, Chronic Health Conditions, and Well-being (30 minutes)

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
