Course Description

Deskercise is a lecture/workshop designed for the full time employee population that spends most of the day seated at a desk. This presentation will equip participants with tactics to remain active and moving throughout the day, all while staying within the office space. This lecture/workshop does require a little bit of movement, but can be done while wearing clothes that one would wear to work daily. By participating in this presentation/workshop participants will be achieve the following:

1. Learn how to do six exercises using the items found in an office setting

2. Learn about the risks involved with extended periods of sitting during the day

3. Learn the four points of posture to incorporate while sitting and standing throughout the day
