Course Description

Take a journey through a brief history of Spain and its culture. From Altamira to the Alhambra, from the Paleolithic to the Medieval Moorish Muslims - with the Iberians, Celts, Romans and Vandals in between, this country has an extraordinarily rich and diverse cultural heritage. Topics will include: a brief history, from the pre-Roman period to the discovery of the New World; UNESCO World Heritage sites in Spain and folklore.

Presented by Alicia H. Romeu who has several Master’s degrees, is a retired Spanish teacher and a member of the Lifelong Learning Society. 

Course Outline
