TRACE0016 - Painting Along the Tiber
Course Description
The historic Tiber River flows south through the city of Rome to the ancient Roman Port of Ostia Antica. We will paint a few of the many bridges along its banks that have inspired artists ranging from Pinturicchio in the XV c to William Kentridge in the XXI c. This is a mixed-level, intensive, on-site course for the experienced painter or the real beginner, using watercolor. Various wet and dry techniques are explained and demonstrated. An exploratory, personal approach is encouraged.
Session 1: Meet at At Temple Rome campus. Class will go down to the river and paint the nearby Ponte Matteoti.
Session 2: Meet at Piazza Trilussa (Trastevere). Class will paint the Ponte Sisto below from the banks of the Tiber.
Cost includes all supplies.

This course takes place in Rome, Italy.
