Course Description

Learn the requirements to become and prosper as an entrepreneur.  This is an interactive course.  Discover how and where business practices derived and how they affect your present business. Additional current topics include: what the IRS accepts as your bookkeeping system, how to report your income from your business on your tax return, what activities qualify as business deductions, obtaining your Federal Tax ID, city tax ID, and state ID based on profit or nonprofit status, etc.

Instructor: Aletta Parris-Oday is the CEO of AOK Business Services, LLC. . has a MBA in Public Administration from Strayer University.  As an entrepreneur, she aspires to educate the community. She is also a member of the  Cambridge - Who’s Who African American Women in Business.

This interactive course will teach you how to ensure your business foundation is solid. If you are new to business, you will learn how to create strategic procedures for your business financial health. Established businesses will learn of the new rules and regulations that govern small business development and sustainability. You will learn to create income, become audit proof, making sure you are compliant with the Federal, state, and city requirements.

Instructor: Alletta Parris-Olday, is a graduate of Strayer University with a MBA in Public Administration. She is also the founder of Footprints to Financial Success and author of “So you want to be in Business: Know before you go.” Her specialty is compliance, taxation and quality assurance.
