AMERICAN HISTORY THROUGH FOLK MUSIC II

Course Description: This course follows Part I from Fall 2024. Different folk songs will illuminate eras of American history. Each of six eras will contain songs pertinent to it, with many sing-alongs. History will come alive through the songs of those who experienced it.

Instructor Bio: Paul Selbst, PhD, MPA, MS and BS, is a professor emeritus at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and former director of the graduate program in healthcare administration. He is the author of numerous publications and teaches various courses in political science, as well as folk music, at OLLI.
