Course Description
The course covers teaching and learning alphabets, writing and reading text, understanding grammar and building of vocabulary. The course includes writing exercises and speaking tasks. In addition to doing homework and quizzes.
The goal is to build practical communication skills through clear lessons in vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and conversation. By the end of the 10 weeks, students will be able to Read and write simple Arabic words and sentences. Communicate in daily situations. Produce short paragraphs. Use basic tenses (present – past – future). Understand 300–400 new words
Instructor: Elsidieg Abashera Experienced academic and executive leader with over 30 years in business management, research, and education. Demonstrated excellence in board-level governance, international negotiations, and scholarly writing. Proven track record in leading complex organizations, mentoring diverse teams, and publishing on economic development, Political Economy Issues, and public policy. Bilingual communicator (Arabic & English) with strong intercultural leadership abilities.
Provided academic support in college-level mathematics. Helped students build core algebra skills and exam readiness. I am a guest lecturer and research contributor.

Refunds: Refunds of course fees are issued only if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
Low Enrollment Class Cancellations: Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a course is cancelled for any reason, you will be notified, and your entire tuition fee will be refunded. Refunds are issued by Temple University, Lifelong Learning Extended Education - LLEE (formerly DestinyOne) according to your payment type. Please allow two to three weeks for processing. You will have the option to enroll in another course. If you choose the option to enroll in another Course, PASCEP administration will walk you through the process. Financial adjustments will be made if there is a difference in the new course selection.
