Course Description

The Fox School’s Translational Research Center (TRC), in collaboration with Ivey Publishing, is pleased to host its first academic conference devoted to the writing and teaching of case studies. The Fox Case Conference 2026 will be a full-day, hands-on workshop designed for faculty, doctoral students, researchers, and professionals interested in developing their ability to write, adapt, and teach using business cases. Whether you're new to case writing or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will offer practical tools and guidance from experienced facilitators.

Participants will explore the foundational elements of case writing, learn to craft effective teaching notes, and develop strategies to convert academic research into high-impact, discussion-based classroom case.

Two tracks will be offered to meet the needs of both beginner and advanced case writers. The morning workshops will focus on the fundamentals of case writing and on translating academic research into cases. The afternoon sessions will emphasize skill development through innovative case-writing methods, including the use of VR, and will provide participants with feedback on works in progress.
