Course Description

History and theories of the architecture and urbanism of the modern period, from the beginning of the 19th century until the 1960's. Key ideas, texts and iconic buildings from the USA, Europe and other sites of the modernist diaspora are discussed. This is a writing intensive course.

This course will be meeting T, TH from 12:30PM-1:50PM on Temple University's main campus from Monday, August 25th through Monday, December 8, 2025 in Architecture Building, Room 201.
