Course Description

From ancient stone carvings to modern digital design, typography has always been at the heart of effective visual communication. Whether you're designing a logo, building a website, or laying out a magazine, the right type choice can elevate your work from ordinary to exceptional.

You'll gain a solid foundation in the principles of typography essential for creating compelling and functional designs. You'll explore the history and anatomy of type, examine type classifications and eras, and learn how to select fonts that align with your project goals. Key concepts such as typographic hierarchy, contrast, clarity, and spacing—including kerning, tracking, and leading—will be covered in depth.

Learn to align typography with broader design objectives across both print and digital media. By the end of the course, you'll be equipped to make confident, informed type choices that enhance both the visual appeal and effectiveness of your work.
