CDE1826 - Implant Planning with BlueSky Bio and Printing Your Surgical Guides *Hands On
Course Description
8:30am - 11:30am
Implant Planning with BlueSky Bio and Printing Your Surgical Guides (Hands On)
Patients will always have predictable and restorable outcomes when implant placement is virtually planned prior to surgery. This hands-on interactive course will feature scanning with 3Shape Trios5, design of implant surgical guides with Bluesky Bio and 3D printing in your office. We will utilize Bluesky Bio software available for free online and an inexpensive Phrozen 3D printer that can easily be incorporated into your office for minimal cost. Each participant will have the opportunity to plan an implant case to get accustomed to the workflow.
Upon course completion, the participant will:
· Explain the core principles of digital implant planning and describe how virtual planning enhances the predictability and restorability of implant procedures.
· Perform intraoral scanning of a dental arch, import scan data into BlueSky Bio software, and begin virtual implant planning using the platform’s tools.
· Design at least one implant surgical guide using BlueSky Bio software, demonstrating understanding of key elements such as anatomical landmarks, guide positioning, and implant trajectory.
· Describe the functions of a 3D printer in a dental office and how it simplifies fabrication of surgical guides.
· Outline the basic clinical, technical, and financial requirements for integrating digital implant planning and 3D printing workflows into a dental practice.
12:00pm - 2:00pm
