Course Description: The Peace Education Program is a video-based workshop that helps people connect to their inner resources. Each hour-long class features video excerpts of renowned author Prem Rawat’s inspiring presentations, along with entertaining animations on the theme for the week. Time is provided for reflection, discussions and activities. The 10 themes are peace, appreciation, inner strength, self-awareness, clarity, understanding, dignity, choice, hope and contentment. The Peace Education Program is sponsored by the Prem Rawat Foundation and has been presented in more than 80 countries in diverse settings, from schools to correctional institutions.

Instructor Bio: Susan Smith is a Temple University alumna with a master’s degree in music and a bachelor’s degree in music from Indiana University. She is a volunteer with the Prem Rawat Foundation and its signature course, the Peace Education Program. She has facilitated the course in the Philadelphia area and enjoys helping provide others with the opportunity to explore their personal strengths. Past professional work includes teaching in Collingswood, New Jersey, and playing in the Orquesta Sinfónica de Jalapa, Mexico.
Instructor Bio: Sandy Fried received a BS in education from Temple University and a Master of Education from Villanova University. She has facilitated the Peace Education Program in the Philadelphia area and has a lifelong commitment to personal peace. Her professional work includes facilitating Personal Growth Circles and serving as a school counselor in Philadelphia.

Online courses are conducted via Zoom.
