Course Description
Session 1 - January 14, 2025, 12:15pm - 1:15pm
Next Level Dentures In 4 Appointments or Less
A overview of the latest digital denture treatments, fabrication methods, and demonstrate how techniques have advanced. The latest in 3D printing processes and materials will be highlighted, demonstrating their strength, accuracy and esthetics. Additionally, this course will review digital clinical guidelines that make chairside steps easier to accomplish, reducing the number of appointments and total treatment times.
Upon course completion, the participant will:
· Understand the fastest and most accurate way to capture edentulous impressions – where we are today.
· Understand denture fabrication methods and how current CAD-CAM technologies have improved them.
· Understand the latest 3D printed denture materials that are stronger than anything ever used.
The Reference Denture Workflow
Step by step instructions on using the patient’s existing dentures for the preliminary records and how to manage the various printed prototype options.
Upon course completion, the participant will:
· Understand proper clinical records – what is needed for success and simpler ways to obtain them digitally.
· Understand a simple systematic approach to a 3-appointment digital denture.
· Utilizing a functional prototype try-in and why it’s better.
· Understand scanning tips and tricks for less stressful experience and better results.
Session 2 - January 21, 2025, 12:15pm - 1:15pm
The Digital Bite Rim Workflow
For the patient that has no denture (and no teeth!), this session will go through the methods of
capturing the necessary records and converting them to the digital workflow. Using a mix of techniques, the workflow results in a 4 appointment process that requires less time per appointment.
Upon course completion, the participant will:
· Understand how to use analog or digital – why and when?
· Understand how to implement definitive records in a single appointment.
· Understand functional prototyping.
Digital Immediate & Copy Denture Workflows
Protocols that utilize intra-oral scanners for immediate dentures will be presented along with am overview of the copy denture workflow.
Upon course completion, the participant will:
· Understand why you never want to use impression materials for immediate dentures.
· Understand the handling the complicated bite registrations.
· Learn and understand scanning tips & tricks.
· Understand when and where to ask for a copy denture.
