IPS0097 - Risk Assessment (APS Staff Only)
Course Description
This training specifically addresses the NAPSA competencies regarding Risk Assessment, including:
- Overview of Risk Assessment
- Indicators of immediate risk of ANE
- Lethality indicators
- Emergency medical or psychiatric situations
- Impact of illness/disability on client’s ability to protect him/herself
- Environmental hazards
- What to do when the client refuses services
REGISTRATION
- This course is for adult protective services (APS) staff and is not available to the public
- Individual online registration is required for each person
- There are a limited number of registrations available per training

SCHEDULE
- Participants are required to be on time
- Extra time will be needed to travel and navigate traffic, parking, and walking. Please plan accordingly
- Sign-in is from 8:30 to 9 AM
- The training begins promptly at 9 AM and ends at 4 PM
- Lunch break will be 1 hour
- Stretch breaks will be provided throughout the day
