Course Outline
- Determine the best approach for your presentation and deliver it, based on three major types of speeches: motivational, informational, and persuasive;
- List the 5 rules of visual aids;
- Use elements of storytelling to engage your audience;
- Practice eye contact and gestures to emphasize a concept or idea;
- Identify your mannerisms, verbal tics, distractors, and physical characteristics that occur when you are experiencing presentation anxiety;
- Apply 4 approaches to manage speech and presentation anxiety;
- Develop and give a short presentation that generates feedback from both instructor and fellow class participants
Learner Outcomes
Participants will produce and give a short presentation that utilizes proper body language, slide design principles, basic presentation principles, and storytelling elements.Applies Towards the Following Certificates
