Time: Friend or Foe? Instructor: Marilyn Golden Day of Week: Thursdays Dates: Feb 12 – Feb 19 (3 sessions) No Class: Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Location: In-person at Ambler (TUA)   In today’s world, we confront many obstacles which prevent us from accomplishing goals in a timely manner. Why? One reason is that we often do not comprehend the often ‘mysterious’ passage of time. In this workshop, we will focus on understanding the concept of time and the strategies to combat the forces that attempt to sabotage our accomplishing short-term and long-term goals.   Instructor Bio:  Marilyn Golden is a retired public school educator and part-time college instructor. She taught as an adjunct instructor in Elect Reading at Temple University for twenty years and at both Arcadia University and Philadelphia University. In addition, she created and taught noncredit courses in study strategies and reading for adults at Temple University Center City for thirteen years.

Notes

Why when I’m registering do I join the Wait List?
Several of our courses are in high demand. In order to accommodate our members who are not tech-savvy and have trouble registering online, we created a registration system in which there is no advantage to registering early, no disadvantage to registering later.

When registering, you join the Wait List for each course. Don’t be alarmed. This does not mean the course is full. After the registration period is over, we run a lottery on the courses, and it randomly determines who is admitted to each course and who is not. You typically will receive notification regarding which courses you are admitted to, about two weeks before the start of the semester. If a course accepts 150 or more students, you are very likely to get into it.
