Course Description

Introduction to Statistical Science

There are two folds goals first is to balance foundational theory with practical skills, and second is to ensure that students develop both conceptual understanding and the ability to apply statistical tools

  • Understand basic statistical terminology and concepts | Organize, summarize, and interpret data, Understand the principles of probability | Perform and interpret basic statistical tests.

Instructor: Elsidieg Abashera Experienced academic and executive leader with over 30 years in business management, insurance, research, and education. Demonstrated excellence in board-level governance, international negotiations, and scholarly writing. Proven track record in leading complex or organizations, mentoring diverse teams, and publishing on economic development, insurance, and public policy. Bilingual communicator with strong intercultural leadership abilities.

Refunds: Refunds of course fees are issued only if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Low Enrollment Class Cancellations: Temple University reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances.  If a course is cancelled for any reason, you will be notified, and your entire tuition fee will be refunded.  You will have the option to enroll in another course.  Financial adjustment will be made if there is a difference in the new course selection. 

Drop/Add courses: All courses drop/add requests must be submitted to the PASCEP administration in writing.
