Medical Ethics

Location: Hybrid at Ambler 

This course will examine the complexities involved in medical ethics. It is a case- based, interactive course that explores issues such as end-of-life care, reproductive rights, human experimentation, the pharmaceutical industry and more. Many of these issues the instructor has encountered during his medical practice.

Instructor Bio: Robert Michaelson is a retired OB-GYN with 37 years of experience. He is a former trustee and past president of the medical staff at Abington Hospital, as well as a member of the Dublin Township Human Relations Commission. For his upcoming course at OLLI, he has prepared a 90-slide Power- Point presentation that he has used in two other venues. He aims to encourage discussion among participants and will rely on real medical cases in which he has been involved in providing care.
