Course Description

This interactive workshop centers on the creative and technical fundamentals of screenwriting, cinematography, directing, editing and sound for digital short storytelling. With the mentorship of Temple FMA Instructors, you will learn and implement the filmmaking process from inception through completion. By the end of this dynamic program, you will have completed your own film that includes dramatic arc, cinematic framing and composition, shot sequencing, continuity editing and sound design. Students will also be introduced to documentary, animated, and experimental film form.

 This course is available as a Summer Institute/Intensive during Session 3.

Students attending our Summer Institutes and Intensives program choose one class to attend for the two-week session. When applying, you will first be directed to the Summer Institutes and Intensives application. Students with approved applications will be invited to pay the 10% deposit. You will be invoiced for the remaining program fee.
