As Fox MBA & MS alumni, you have the opportunity to accompany current graduate students on global immersions and take part in an Executive Education certificate program exclusively for the Fox alumni population.

The overall objectives of the program are:

  • To provide an understanding of the region’s business, cultural, and political environments;

  • To achieve a working knowledge of local business practices through direct interaction with managers and government officials;

  • To explore the value of different economic models as benchmarks for global business practices; and

  • To promote intercultural awareness and communication.

As an alum, you will be required to attend a pre-departure Zoom with the faculty lead approximately one week before departure and a post-session follow-up Zoom with the faculty lead approximately one week after. The key deliverable will be a comparative case study in which you select (before departure) a particular business in-country and a similarly situated (i.e., same industry, structure, approach) in the U.S. and compare the two on a number of factors, such as size, productivity, financing, government support, etc. This paper will be due two weeks after the immersion concludes. Upon successful completion of the trip and assignments, you will receive a Regional Business Practice Certificate for the region in which you participate (e.g., Europe, LatAm, Asia, Africa).

The courses/locations/semesters we are offering are:
Summer 2024: Doing Business in Edinburgh, Scotland: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability in Practice with Professor Bora Ozkan to Edinburgh, Scotland (June 30th - July 6th, 2024)

Alumni enrolled in this certificate program are required to take part in the in-country immersion. You will be financially responsible for the overall cost, which includes the Executive Education program fee, hotel accommodations (double occupancy/roommate), some meals, company visits, in-country transportation and cultural activities. Airfare is not included. If you do not want to share a room, you may elect a single room for an additional single supplement. You will be accompanying current graduate students who are enrolled in an academic course. Spouses, significant others and/or traveling companions are not permitted. However, you may arrange any pre/post travel independently of this immersion. Participation is required on all daily company visits, discussions and cultural activities throughout the in-country experience.
