The Occupational Competency Assessment must be completed successfully for you to be issued an Intern Certificate. Without this, you are not eligible to teach.
There are several options for you to select from to make sure you are completing the proper version of the application.
1 - Complete exam - this includes both the written and the performance exams. If you have not signed up before, this is the one you need to choose.
2 - Credential Review - For those holding a current license/credentials for the Healthcare fields, Veterinary Technician, Cosmetology/Barbering, or Dental Assisting, this is the application for you.
3 - Cooperative Education - This is the written exam that is taken at the end of the Cooperative Education Certification Program.
4 - Re-test both Written and Performance - this would be the correct selection for an individual that did not earn passing scores for both parts of the OCA and requires a re-test.
5 - Re-test Performance Only - Select this option if you did not earn a passing score on the performance part of the test and your Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) has been accepted.
6 - Re-test Written Only - Select this option if you did not earn a passing score on the written part of the test and your Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) has been accepted.
IMPORTANT: Exam fees are non-refundable. If you fail to show up for your scheduled Performance Exam, there will be a $50 re-scheduling fee.
