If you live more than 150 miles from Temple's main campus you may arrive the night before your scheduled First-year Orientation session and stay in on-campus housing for a $25 early arrival fee.

Early arrival details are as follows: 

  • Check-in between 4:00pm-6:00pm at Morgan Hall South (1603 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122)  the night before your scheduled orientation session
  • Overnight parking is available in the Liacouras Garage if needed
  • Dinner will be provided from a local restaurant
  • Accommodations
    • You will be assigned a single room which may be in suite-style living and you may or may not be assigned a suitemate. Please note that no guests are allowed to stay with you.
    • No linens, towels, pillows, or toiletries will be provided in the room, so please bring what you need to be comfortable for your overnight stay! The beds in Morgan Hall North are twin extra-long. 
  • The residence hall will be staffed with Owl Team Leaders (orientation leaders) who will welcome you as well as Resident Assistants and a security guard.

If you are interested in early arrival, please complete the following form and pay the required $25 fee at least one week prior to your scheduled orientation session. You will receive a confirmation email of your payment and a reminder email in advance of your First-year Orientation session. 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This form does not register you for your First-year Orientation session. Make a reservation for your First-year Orientation session by clicking on the appropriate Next Step regarding Orientation in TUportal.
  • This form is not an Early Arrival Request to arrive on-campus prior to Fall Opening in August. Only complete this form if you need to arrive the night before your First-year Orientation session in June or July. 
  • We are pleased to provide fee waivers for those who require financial assistance in order to arrive early. Please email us at orientation@temple.edu to request a waiver.  
  • Please be aware that the Temple University Student Conduct Code applies to students staying on-campus the night before an orientation and while attending orientation.
