TYLER0090 - Introduction to Painting

Course Description

This class introduces students to the fundamentals of observational painting, including how to represent light, form, and space, how to construct a strong composition, and color mixing. Students will learn through strategic assignments, demonstrations, individual instruction, and group critiques. The class is geared toward acrylic, but students are welcome to work in a different painting medium if they prefer. Previous observational drawing experience recommended. 

To participate online, students must have access to the following: A desktop, laptop or Chromebook computer, high speed internet connection, speakers, microphone and a webcam.
