DESTABILIZATION OF THE NATION STATE: SEPARATISTS, REVOLUTIONARIES, AND TERRORISTS

4-Week Course on Thursdays from November 5-December 3 (No class November 26) 1:00 PM-2:30 PM

This course will explore how the modern Nation State is undermined by Separatists, Revolutionary Movements, and Terrorists. Case studies and pictures from actual deployments include personal experience with terrorism in the Middle East and the “Troubles” in Ireland. Each session has a separate topic to be addressed. Each session opens with an interactive discussion on current/legal events, and then a short PowerPoint presentation is followed with an application of my lessons learned relevant to a distributed article.
