Course Description

Prerequisite: Participants should have some familiarity with using smartphones and tablets, such as turning devices on and off, using voice commands, and making and receiving phone calls.

Today’s smartphones are powerful tools that go far beyond placing phone calls. This course will focus on smartphones and tablets and is designed for participants who are already familiar with using these devices. Learn how to best use the calendar and electronic address book, manage usernames and passwords, organize the screen and icons, and understand privacy issues. Learn how to use social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Discover how to take great photos and videos and also how to save, edit, and organize them. Finally, discover how to use digital books, movies and music, and the resources available. All lessons will be demonstrated using Apple devices (iPhone and/or iPad), but skills can be transferred to other brands. Course maximum: 20
